Project Piano is an initiative run by piano teacher Peter Auker, who believes music-making should be enjoyable and fun, whilst always striving to be the best piano player you can be (in whatever style of playing suits you best). Peter has come up with a range of options in order to build on the traditional “face-to-face” style of piano lesson and create greater flexibility for busy people to still enjoy their piano journeys, even if they can’t always get to a lesson every week.

Project Piano aims to be as accommodating to your needs as possible.

In addition, a range of extra services are available, including theory of music, composition, musical proof-reading and training sessions on Sibelius notation software.

Peter has over 30 years experience as a piano teacher, is an experienced examiner for Trinity College London, and is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians (Registered Private Teacher). He has a Masters degree in music from the University of Sheffield, plus diplomas from Trinity College of Music (FTCL) and the London College of Music (GLCM and ALCM). He is currently researching the operas of Benjamin Britten for a PhD at the University of Nottingham, where he is also a Teaching Affilliate in the Music Department.

Peter regularly performs as a pianist in concerts and musical theatre, and also as an accompanist for rehearsals, workshops and exams.
